Women’s Volleyball improves to 12-0

Abbo003tsford – The defending CCAA National Champions continued their winning ways on Friday, sweeping the visiting College of the Rockies Avalanche 3-0 for the second consecutive night.  The number one ranked Cascades women’s volleyball team won by scores 25-10, 25-14, 25-11.  UFV sits at the top the PACWEST standings at 12-0.

“Tonight was a solid performance by the roster.  Juliana Penner had a particularly strong game as she seemed to have everything going for her tonight,” commented head coach Dennis Bokenfohr.  “The girls will appreciate the extra days rest and we will move on and prepare for the final weekend of the first semester.”

On the men’s side, the College of the Rockies avenged their 3-1 loss on Thursday to defeat the Cascades by that same score.  Scores of the match were 25-23, 25-21, 12-25, 25-21. The Cascades record falls to 5-7.

The Cascades travel to Nanaimo to face the VIU Mariners November 29 and 30 for their final games before the Christmas break.
