UFV Cascades women’s volleyball team improves to 7-0, with 3-0 victory over VIU Mariners

Men’s Volleyball team falls 3-0 to Mariners at EAC

Abbotsford, BC…The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s volleyball team defeated the VIU Mariners, 3-0, in a PACWEST first place showdown, at the Envision Athletic Centre.  The set scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-17.  The Cascades, ranked number one in the CCAA top ten poll, improve their regular season record to 7-0, while the Mariners, ranked 7th in the CCAA top ten poll, fall to 8-1.  The two teams will go right back at it tomorrow at 1pm, at the EAC.

“Tonight was a great team effort.  Contributions throughout the line up. Offense was very agressive and passing was on point. What a night,” said UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr.

The UFV Cascades men’s volleyball team were defeated by the VIU Mariners, 3-0, tonight, at the Envision Athletic Centre.  The set scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-20.  UFV’s regular season record falls to 3-4, while VIU improves to 3-6.  The two teams play again tomorrow at 3pm, at the EAC.
