Abbotsford, BC…..The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades Women’s Soccer player Jade Palm is the UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athlete of the week, for the week ending on Sunday, October 27th, 2013.

Palm, a second year defender, scored UFV ‘s lone goal in the Canada West quarterfinal match against the University of Alberta, in Edmonton.  At the time of the goal the Cascades evened the score, at one each, going into the half time break.  UFV would play even for  close to 30 minutes in the second half before Alberta would score the winning tally.  Palm recorded three shots on goal in the game.  “Jade was solid in the back and dangerous on set pieces today,” commented UFV head coach Rob Giesbrecht.
