UFV Cascades improve to 14-2 with sweep of Douglas College at Envision Athletic Center
The UFV Cascade’s women’s volleyball team swept Douglas College Royals, this weekend, at the Envision Athletic Center, to improve their first place PACWEST record to 14-2. The number four ranked CCAA team defeated the Royals, 3-0, on Friday by scores of 25-21, 27-25, and 25-20. On Saturday, UFV won, 3-1 by scores of 25-25, 17-25, 25-16 and 25-17.
“It was a match where we were coming off a long road trip to San Diego. It had the feel of a road game for sure and we battled through to get the wins. Moving forward we have a bye weekend and then VIU the following weekend. That will be a battle for first place in the PACWEST and something we are looking forward to,” said UFV Head Coach Dennis Bokenfohr, on his team’s play this weekend.
