UFV Cascades Kayla Klim named Canada West 3rd Star for week ending Sunday, October 6, 2013

Abbotsford, BC…..The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades  women’s soccer goalkeeper Kayla Klim has been named Canada West’s 3rd star  for the week ending on Sunday, October 6th, 2013.

Klim was named the Cascades “player of the match” for her outstanding play in Friday’s 1-1 tie with the University of Calgary Dinos.  Klim recorded a career high 9 saves as she faced 15 Calgary shorts.  Klim kept UFV in the match when she stopped a penalty shot in the 50th minute of the match.  On Saturday, Klim earned her third shutout of the season in UFV’s 5-0 victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns. The Cascades are 3-3-2 for 11 points with four matches remaining  in the Canada West regular season.
