Abbotsford, BC….The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades are pleased to announce the 3rd annual Honda Way Basketball Weekend Classic will be held on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 at the Envision Athletic Centre on the Abbotsford campus of UFV.

The previous two years the Honda Way Basketball Weekend Classic was men’s basketball, but this year the classic will introduce the Cascades women’s team to the weekend events.  The women’s team have invited Brock University Badgers (OUA-West) and the UBC-O Heat (Canada West-Pacific Division) and the men have invited two of the PACWEST’s (CCAA) top teams Langara College Falcons and  Capilano University Blues.

The goal of the Honda Way Basketball Weekend Classic is to introduce the highest level of amateur basketball to the Fraser Valley community.  The Cascades are very proud to partner with the Honda Way  www.hondaway.com in bringing games to the Envision Athletic Centre for fans to watch and learn more about the game.  General Admission is $2 for all fans and free for all UFV students.

In addition to Honda Way, the Cascades would also like to thank  the Ramada Plaza & Conference Centre, PowerAde, Panago Pizza and the Abbotsford News for their support of the weekend classic. Without the support of the business community an event like this would not be possible.
