Cascades open PACWest regular season with 3-1 victory over Douglas College Royals

Cascades: 3-1 (20-25; 25-15; 25-22; 25-23)

The UFV Cascades men’s volleyball team opened the 2011-12 PACWest regular season with a 3-1 victory over Douglas College, in New Westminster, BC. After dropping the first set, UFV Cascades pulled away in the nest three sets for the victory.

“Compared to our preseason, that was our best team performance that we’ve seen. The team played tough and persistent like they were told to. Everyone that was called on to play, delivered,” said Head Coach Greg Russell.

The key performers were Aaron Flanagan., Langley, BC with 17 kills and a 56 % kill efficiency. Dillon Collett, Delta, BC added 13 digs and Jon Dvorak, Langley, BC 11 digs in the victory.
