Krista Hogewoning represented UFV Cascades and Team BC at 2013 Canada Summer Games 

Sherbrooke, PQ…Krista Hogewoning, Delta, BC, the starting right side for the defending CCAA national champion UFV Cascades helped Team BC earn the Silver Medal at the 2013 Summer Canada Games, in Sherbrooke, Quebec.  Alberta defeated BC, 3-2, in the final.  Set scores 21-25, 13-25, 25-13, 25-20 and 15-9.

The BC women’s volleyball team wrapped up three days of pool play with an undefeated record. They defeated Saskatchewan, 3-0, Yukon, 3-0 and PEI, 3-0 to advance to the Gold Medal match.  In the opening victory over Saskatchewan, Hogewoning, a PACWEST all-star led Team BC with 17 points (14 kills, 2 blocks and 1 ace).

UFV Cascades Aaron Pauls  participated in 2013 Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship  

Victoria, BC…Aaron Pauls, Chilliwack, BC the UFV Cascades CCAA All-Canadian men’s golfer is participating in the 2013 Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship in Victoria, BC.  Aaron currently is ranked 46th (seven golfers are currently tied in the 46th position) with a three-day total of 219.  The PACWEST silver medalist shot an amazing 68 after the first day to be ranked in the top five.  There were close to 300 golfers in the field from the event started on Tuesday.

The championship continues tomorrow with the fourth and final round.

The UFV Cascades 2013 PACWEST golf season opens in mid-September when the Cascades travel to Nanaimo, BC to participate in PACWEST Tournament 1, hosted by the VIU Mariners.
