Carly Neeson, Women’s Soccer and Brian Davis, Men’s Soccer UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athletes of the Week – Week ending Sunday, September 11, 2011

Neeson, a second year forward from Maple Ridge, BC scored the winning goal in the 49th minute against the University of Regina Cougars, on Sunday, to give UFV a sweep of their road trip to the prairies. Neeson, a General Studies major, was named the Cascades’ Player of the game.

Davis, a fourth year midfielder from Abbotsford, BC scored one of the two Cascades goals in their 4-2, loss to UBC Thunderbirds on Saturday. The Kinesiology major played a key role in Friday’s opening night 1-0 victory over TWU, in Langley, BC.
