“This was our most balance game of the trip and it was good way to end our tour. The Antigua basketball federation and the people of Antigua have been tremendous hosts. The trip has been an unbelievable experience for our team; the people have completely embraced us, the island has so much history and beauty, and the basketball experience was something our team will never forget,” said UFV Cascades Head Coach Al Tuchscherer.
“Also, have to give Joanna Sheppard and her program (Champions for Health Promoting Schools) a lot of thanks for involving us in all aspects of her program. The girls have had a life changing experience working in the Antiguan primary school and conducting several basketball clinics at the St John’s YMCA and getting to know the KPE students that are here for the 5 week program.”
