UFV Cascades defeated by Capilano U Blues, 3-1, in 2011 BCCAA Bronze Medal Match

Capilano University Blues defeated the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades, 3-1, in the 2011 BCCAA Bronze medal match, played at UBC-O, in Kelowna, BC.  The Cascades finish the season ranked fourth in BCCAA with a 9-8 regular and post season record.

 

The Cascades won the first set by a score of 28-26, but then Capilano would reel off three straight sets to capture the Bronze Medal, by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 26-4.

 

The Cascades were led  by Brittany Stewart, Langley, BC with 24 digs, Jenna Evans, Chilliwack, BC recorded 13 digs as UFV registered 69 for the game.  Denise Joy Francisco, Surrey, BC recorded 43 assists as UFV posted 51 for the game.  Kierra Noot, Surrey, BC two blocks as UFV registered 6 for the match.

 

The UFV Cascades player of the match was Kari Roos, Chilliwack, BC for her overall play registering 13 kills and  8 digs.
