UFV Cascades defeated by UBC-O in BCCAA Women’s Volleyball Semi-Finals, 3-0. on Friday Night

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s volleyball team fell to the host UBC-O Heat, 3-0, in the BCCAA semi final match, at the 20-11 BCCAA women’s volleyball Championships, in Kelowna, BC.  The Cascades will play today (Saturday, February 26th) against Capilano  University Blues, at 1:00PM, for the BCCAA Bronze Medal.

 

The scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.

 

Brittany Stewart, Langley, BC led the Cascades with 12 digs as the team recorded 40 for the three set match.  Kim Mintenko, Prince George, BC led all Cascades with 17 assists.

 

“We were in tough tonight but played well against the conference’s top team.  We will regroup today for the bronze medal match, “ said UFV Head Coach Dennis Bokenfohr.
