CBC Bearcats defeat UFV Cascades, 3-0, at Envision Athletic Centre.

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s volleyball team were defeated by Columbia Bible College Bearcats, 3-0, in BCCAA regular season action, at the Envision Athletic Centre.  The Cascades regular season record falls to 4-6 as they remain in 5th place in the standings.

CBC sweeps the two game regular season series.

Tonight’s game was a very entertaining and close match, the Cascades had numerous opportunities in the first two sets to put CBC away and win the set, but could not close out their cross town rivals in each of those two sets that required extra points to settle the round.  The Bearcats won the three sets 26-24, 34-32 and 25-20.
The Cascades were led by Aaron Flanagan, a fourth year veteran from Langley, BC with 12 kills and 2 blocks.  Peter Van Brederode, a second year Mission, BC native, led UFV with 8 digs and Peter Dumerton, Abbotsford, BC also recorded 2 blocks in the loss to CBC.
