Friesen & Klassen UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athletes of the Week.

Joel Friesen, Men’s Basketball and Tessa Klassen, Women’s Basketball are the UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athletes of the week, for the week ending Sunday, November 21, 2010.

Friesen, scored 35-points over the weekend, including a game high 21-points on Friday night in Vancouver, against UBC.  The  Abbotsford, BC native, majoring in Kinesiology was a bright spot in the Cascades two losses in Vancouver, to UBC, 84-68, Friday and 96-82 on Saturday.  Friesen also pulled down 12-total rebounds and recorded 6-assists over the weekend.

Klassen led the Cascades in scoring over the weekend, in Vancouver, scoring 24-points against UBC.  The Winnipeg native led UFV in scoring both nights with 12-each night. Klassen also pulled down 4-rebounds, recorded 4-assists and 2-steals over the weekend.  The Cascades were defeated by UBC 60-49, Friday and 72-47 on Saturday.
