Saskatchewan defeats UFV Cascades, 80-73, in Saskatoon

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades were defeated by the CIS number 6th ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies, 80-73, in Saskatoon.  The Cascades Canada West regular season record falls to 2-2.

The Cascades fell behind early trailing the home team by 18-points, 46-28, at the intermission.  The second half belonged to UFV as they climbed back into the game by winning both second half quarters by a total of 11-points, 45-34.

Tessa Klassen, Winnipeg, Manitoba led the Cascades with 15-points, the veteran guard scored 35-points on the weekend overall.  Aieisha Luyken, Mission, BC added 12-points and 2-assists in the game.

Sarah Wierks, Chilliwack, BC led the Cascades with 11-total rebounds as the team recorded 36-total rebounds for the game.
