Aaron Pauls, Men’s Golf & Bethany Whitehead, Women’s Rowing are the UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athletes of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, October 17, 2010.

Pauls, a second year General Studies major, from Chilliwack, BC finished 7th overall at the 2010 CCAA national championship tournament, held at the Dunes, in Kamloops, BC.  Pauls shot a three-day total of 219, 13 strokes behind the individual champion’s score of 206.  The Men’s Golf team earned the CCAA national Silver Medal with a team score of 886, 38 strokes behind Humber College (OCAA) who won the championship.

Whitehead, a second year business major from Abbotsford, BC was one of four rowers that helped UFV Cascades earn the Bronze Medal in the Women’s lightweight 4, at the UBC invitational tournament over the weekend, in Richmond, BC. The Cascades time was 12:50.9, 17 seconds behind the winning boat.
