The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades are pleased to announce the Abbotsford Heat (American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames) will sponsor the 2010-11 UFV Cascades Athlete of the Week Program. Each week during the 2010-11 CWUAA and BCCAA regular season the Heat will honor the Cascade Athletes of the Week with a pair of tickets to an upcoming AHL game at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.
“It is great to be partnering with the Heat on our Athlete of the Week program. It is a nice way to recognize our student-athletes,” said Rick Nickelchok, Cascades Athletic Director.
The Athlete of the Week program will commence in September, 2010 and run through February, 2011.
