Cascades finish in 5th Place in Golf Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan.

The UFV Cascades varsity Golf team finished in 5th Place in the 2010 Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship, held at the Sunrise Golf & Country Club.  The Japanese Team won the tournament.  The tournament was held from August 24 to 27th in Taipei, Taiwan.  The Cascades were represented by Brett Stewart and Mitch Lock.

Lock, a third year general studies major, recorded a two-day score of 152, good for 30th Place out of 41 male golfers.  Stewart, a 4th year general studies major, finished right behind Lock, in 31st Place with a two-day score of 153.
“It was an incredible experience for our golfers,” said UFV Head Coach Chris Bertram.  “If you look at the scores from the Japanese and Taiwan teams it gives you an idea of how talented their national team golfers are!”
