The University of the Fraser Valley’s Envision Athletic Centre will play host to two Canada Basketball Women’s exhibition games as they prepare for the 2010 Women’s World Championships, to be held in the Czech Republic, September 23 to October 3. Team Canada will “tip off” against Chile on Saturday, July 17th, and Sweden on Tuesday, July 27th, both games will start at 7:00 PM. Team Canada is presently holding its training camp at UFV. They will be in Abbotsford, BC until early August selecting the team that will participated in Ostrava, Czech Republic against China, Australia and Belarus in Pool “A.”
Tickets will be sold at the door for $12.00 (adults), $9 (students) and $6 (for children ages 6 to 12). For further information you can log onto Basketball British Columbia’s web site at www.basketball.bc.ca
