Athletic Therapy
Athletic Therapy is a profession which specializes in emergency care, prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders (muscles, bones, and joints), especially as they relate to athletics and the pursuit of physical activity.

In cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the athletic therapist functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team at the university. Central to our philosophy is the prevention of sports injuries through the promotion of good physical conditioning, hazard free facilities, appropriate protective equipment, safe coaching techniques and fair play.

When an injury occurs, proper immediate on-site management, followed by an early and intensive therapeutic reconditioning program is the key to our success.
