Huskies defeat Cascades, 2-1, in Saskatoon

The University of Saskatcewan Huskies defeated the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades, 2-1, in Saskatoon, SK. The Cascades end the 2011 Canada West regular season with a 1-11-2 record for 5 points and 7th place in the conference.

UfV ‘s lone goal in the match was scored by Kobe Byrne, Abbotsford, BC. Sasa Plavsic, Coquitlam, BC recorded his second assist on the UFV goal.

Colton Keam, Abbotsford, BC gave up both second half goals to take the loss.

“We competed very well and looked the better team for most of the game, however, these lapses in concentration cost us dearly,” said UFV Head Coach Alan Erington.
