The University of the Fraser Valley women’s rugby sevens team has begun its fall training sessions, and the program is looking to expand its roster.

The Cascades are inviting UFV students with an interest in rugby to attend a practice. Experienced players and newcomers to the sport are welcome.

The team trains at DeLair Park (35570 DeLair Road, Abbotsford) at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. Interested players are asked to contact head coach Jen Ross at UFVrugby@ufv.ca in advance.

The Cascades women’s rugby sevens club is entering its second season of play. The team trains throughout the fall and will play several exhibition games in advance of the Canada West season, which comprises three tournaments in the spring.
