“Friday night was a rough loss for us. Going down 0-3 was appropriate. We did not serve tough, did not pass well and when given the opportunity, we made more than enough attack errors, commented UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr on his team’s loss. On Saturday, the Cascades came out strong and determined to move back into first place. “Today the ladies looked determined, from go a different team was on the court. We ended up winning 3-1 but it was a battle from start to finish. Games like that are only won with a complete team contribution.”
The Cascades Simone Hansen did a great job locking down the right side with her block. Kira Tome impressed the Cascades coaching staff with her decisions and ball delivery on Saturday. Second year all-star Krista Hogewoning stood out on Saturday, she played a complete game from stellar passing, consistent attack and very aggressive serving.
The Cascades return home to the Envision Athletic Centre to host Douglas College Royals next weekend.
