UFV Cascades men’s golf team in 9th place after day one in Oshawa, Ontario

Men’s Golf at CCAA National Championships

Oshawa, Ontario…The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s golf team is in 9th place after day one of the 2012 Ping CCAA National Championships in Oshawa, Ontario.  The Cascades trail the defending CCAA national champion Humber College Hawks (OCAA) by 14 strokes going into day two at the Oshawa Golf & Curling Club.  UFV ‘s team score on day one was 296.  

 

Mitch Lock, the veteran Cascade from Mission, BC is in the CCAA top ten after day one with an individual score of 74.  Aaron Pauls, Chilliwack, BC sits tied for 34th with a score of 78, to show how close everyone is and what a log jam day one has produced four strokes seperate close to 30 golfers.  The other three Cascades (Connor O’Dell, Scott Benstead and Darren Whitehouse) participating in the national championships are all tied for 37th with a score of 79.
