Cascades golf teams in the hunt for gold at CCAA national championships

Hannah Dirksen and the Cascades women’s team are ranked No. 3 in the nation, mirroring the men’s team’s ranking.

The University of the Fraser Valley golf teams are in Oshawa, Ont. this week, looking to extend their unprecedented 2017 trophy haul at the PING CCAA National Championships.

The Cascades are coming off an incredible PACWEST conference campaign which saw them win all four major titles: the men’s and women’s team, and the men’s and women’s individual (Daniel Campbell and Emery Bardock, respectively).

Both UFV squads are No. 3 in their respective national rankings heading into this week’s championships, which tee off Tuesday morning at Royal Ashburn Golf Club.

The Cascades golf teams have combined for nine team medals and five individual medals at CCAA nationals over the past decade, highlighted by the men’s and women’s squads sweeping the team titles in 2013.
