Power restored on UFV Abbotsford campus, Cascades volleyball and basketball games will proceed as scheduled

Power has been restored at the University of the Fraser Valley’s King Road campus in Abbotsford, and Saturday’s volleyball and basketball home games will proceed as scheduled.

Friday evening’s volleyball games between the Cascades and Capilano Blues had been cancelled due to weather-related power outages. The Cascades and Blues will play on Saturday evening in the PACWEST regular-season openers for both programs, with games running at 5 p.m. (women) and 7 p.m. (men) at the Envision Athletic Centre.

The UFV women’s basketball team also plays Capilano in exhibition action on Saturday at the EAC, with tip-off set for 11 a.m.

The Cascades men’s hoopsters host the Lethbridge Pronghorns at 7 p.m. in the North Gym, in what will be the team’s first preseason game against a Canada West/CIS opponent this fall.
