Coming off a six-point weekend, the University of the Fraser Valley women’s soccer team moved up one spot in the CIS national rankings.

In the latest top-10 coaches’ poll released Tuesday morning, the Cascades are at No. 6. The undefeated UFV side (3-0-1) is coming off a solid weekend on their home turf which saw them earn a 1-0 win over Thompson Rivers on Friday and a 3-1 win over UBC Okanagan on Saturday.

The Cascades will look to build on their strong start as they embark on their first road trip of the Canada West regular season this weekend. They take on the Alberta Pandas on Friday (4 p.m. Pacific time) and the UNBC Timberwolves on Sunday (12 p.m.).

The Cascades are the top-ranked team from Canada West – UBC (4-1-0) checks in at No. 8, and Trinity Western (2-1-1) is No. 9. See the infographic below for the complete CIS top-10 list.
