Kyle Donen to head UFV men’s volleyball program

Oct.2_Headshots-17Kyle Donen took the helm of the University of the Fraser Valley men’s volleyball program prior to the 2014-15 season.

Donen played CIS volleyball with the Thompson Rivers WolfPack from 2006 to 2010, competing in three national championships over the course of his career. He also took part in a tournament in Tel Aviv, Israel as a member of the Canadian Jewish national volleyball team in 2009, and played on Team B.C. from 2004 to 2009.

Donen spent the latter half of the 2013-14 season as assistant coach with the Cascades, and previously coached with the Seaside volleyball club in White Rock, as well as at Semiahmoo Secondary and Elgin Park Secondary.

Also an accomplished play-by-play broadcaster, Donen has been the voice of many volleyball championships in recent years years, including the 2013 Canada West Men’s Final Four hosted by Trinity Western University.
