Moedt Gets Recognized For Dominant Season And Outstanding Leadership

UFV

Jasper Moedt receiving his Ken Shields award nomination.

Jasper Moedt has been a key player for the Cascades all season, a bastion for UFV on the court, and the face of the team off of it. His playing prowess was recently rewarded with a Canada West Second Team All-Star and a CIS Ken Shields Award nomination for excellence in basketball, academics, and community involvement.

Moedt has a unique story, one which involves several schools, significant adversity, and a powerful personal journey. We could try to retell it ourselves, but we think that it’s already been told better in The Province, The Abbotsford News, and by Moedt himself in UFV’s student newspaper (The Cascade).
