Nanaimo – The UFV volleyball teams went 0-4 this weekend, courtesy of their PACWEST rivals the Victoria Island University Mariners. The number one ranked UFV women dropped both their games in straight sets (Saturday’s scores were 17-25, 13-25, 21-25), the only two games they’ve lost in their 12-2 season.
Later in the afternoon, the UFV men managed to take the first set 25-23, before losing three straight 25-23, 25-13, and 25-17. The men fall to 5-9 on the year, and will be looking for some competitive rejuvenation during the break.
Both teams will next play on January 17 at the College of the Rockies.
