Abbotsford, BC…..The UFV Cascades women’s basketball team, ranked 3rd in the CIS top ten poll, swept the Mount Royal University Cougars, on the weekend, 79-35, on Friday and 77-46 on Saturday to improve their Canada West regular season record to 6-0 in the Pacific Division of Canada West. UFV travels to Edmonton, Friday, to face the University of Alberta Pandas and Saturday they are in Saskatoon, to face the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
The UFV Cascades men’s basketball team (3-3 in Pacific Division) split their weekend series with the MRU Cougars, this past weekend, falling 62-60 on Friday and winning on Saturday,79-66. The men also travel to Edmonton and Saskatoon this weekend.

The women’s volleyball team, ranked number one in CCAA top ten poll, host the COTR Avalanche this weekend at the EAC. UFV sports a prefect 10-0 record after sweeping the Capilano University Blues this past weekend by scores of 3-0 and 3-1. The UFV Cascades men’s volleyball team sports a 4-6 record as they split with Capilano on the weekend, winning 3-0, on Friday and falling 3-2 on Saturday. They also host COTR this weekend at the EAC.
