UFV Cascades Women’s Golf team ranked Number One in CCAA top ten poll going into National Championship

Men nationally ranked 3rd going into National Championships

Cornwall, Ontario….The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s golf team is ranked number one in this week’s CCAA top ten poll.  The Cascades fresh off their first ever PACWEST conference title by going undefeated in the three regular season tournaments, with a team score of 950, 50 strokes better than their closest BC opponent.  UFV was ranked number one all year in the CCAA top ten poll. 

The CCAA Ping national championship tournament is October 15-18, in Quebec City, Quebec, at the Royal Quebec Golf Club.    www.royalquebec.com

 The men’s golf team will go into the CCAA national championship tournament nationally ranked 3rd behind Humber College Hawks (OCAA) and Holland College Hurricanes (ACAA).  UFV won their second straight PACWEST conference title on Sunday with a team score of 1,717, 50 strokes better than second place Camosun College Chargers.  Both UFV and Camosun will participate in 2013 CCAA national championship event in Quebec City.  The Cascades have been nationally ranked 3rd all season.
