The win was the men’s volleyball team’s first of the PACWEST regular season as they defeated CBC, in four sets, by scores of  25-22, 25-21, 16-25 and 25-21.   Their record now stands at 1-1 after the first week of play.  “This weekend was a great start for our squad.  Friday night could have been a win as well, with a break in the third set.  Many different players are contributing to our success, which is ideal,” said UFV head coach Greg Russell.

Joel Kleingeltink, Langley, BC led the Cascades with 14 kills and Nikolas Vojnovic, Surrey, BC was name the Cascades “player of the game” for leading in passing and defensive statistics.

The women’s volleyball team  improve their PACWEST regular season record to 2-0, with a 3-0 victory over the CBC Bearcats tonight at the Envision Athletic Centre.  The set scores were 25-21, 25-19 and 25-11.

“It was a great start to the year with another solid performance.”
