UFV Cascades Volleyball teams split the Douglas College Royals in PACWEST action tonight at the EAC

 Abbotsford, BC….The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades volleyball teams split with the Douglas College Royals tonight in PACWEST regular season action, at the Envision Athletic Centre. 

The women’s volleyball team improves its PACWEST leading record to 4-0.  The Cascades are perfect this season not losing a set as they swept the Royals by scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-23.  Douglas’ record falls to 0-4 on the young season.

“Tonight was a complete performance with contributions from our entire roster. Jenna (Evans-Abbotsford, BC) had a very productive game on attack tonight. She totaled 8 kills over a set and a half. Emily (Carroll-White Rock, BC) also had a strong game with 3 service aces and 2 blocks in just 2 sets of action. A solid performance heading into our bye week,” said UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr.

The men’s volleyball team’s two game winning streak came to an end tonight as Douglas College defeated the Cascades three sets to none by scores of  25-22, 26-24 and 25-18.  UFV’s regular season record falls to 2-2, Douglas record improves  to 2-2.
