Woods & Whitehouse PACWEST Golf Athletes of the Week, week ending Sunday, September 15th, 2013

Abbotsford, BC…..The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s golfer Darren Whitehouse and women’s golfer Jen Woods are the PACWEST Conference Golf Athletes of the week, for the week ending on Sunday, September 15th, 2013.

AoW 2013-14 Week 2 – Award 04 (Golf) M

Whitehouse, a third year veteran from Langley, BC led UFV to a first place finish at the PACWEST men’s golf tournament two, held in Kelowna, BC.  Whitehouse shot an amazing 132 for the two-day tournament helping the Cascades  to a 13 stroke victory over second place VIU Mariners with a team score of 309.

 AoW 2013-14 Week 2 – Award 04 (Golf) W

Woods, a fourth year veteran golfer from Kelowna, BC led UFV to first place finish in the PACWEST second golf tournament with a two-day score of 152.  Woods has a 313 score for the two tournaments and sits 5 strokes ahead of Cascade Teammate Dani Shap for the overall conference individual title.  The Cascades are currently in first place 31 strokes ahead of second place VIU Mariners.
