The Cascades, ranked number one in the CCAA national top ten poll, came out strong today and dominated the match from the first serve to the final.  Coach Dennis Bokenfohr was able to play his entire bench giving the reserves very valuable regular season playing time. “I am very pleased we were able to play everyone today,” said Bokenfohr.  “Give COTR credit for battling in each set, our reserve players received valuable playing minutes today and came through.”

The Cascades will host COTR tomorrow, at 11am, at the Envision Athletic Centre.  A win tomorrow and UFV ties the school mark for regular season victories at 20.  The record was set last year when UFV went 20-4 in PACWEST regular season play.

“I am very happy for our team, we played well today,” said Captain Brittany Stewart, Langley, BC  “We have grown as a team together over the past three years and we know each other so well.  I look forward to the challenge of the post season we gained valuable experience last year in Nanaimo at the CCAA national championship.”  Stewart, a two-time CCAA Academic All-Canadian has captained UFV the past three years.  She looks forward to tomorrow as the Cascades have the opportunity to tie the school mark for wins at 20.
