UFV Cascades Basketball teams to face Saskatchewan Huskies in Canada West Quarterfinals

Abbotsford, BC…..The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s and women’s basketball programs are headed to the 2013 Canada West Conference quarterfinal playoffs, the women will host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at the Envision Athletic Centre and the men will travel to Saskatoon to face the Huskies.

The playoffs commence this Thursday, February 21st and run through Sunday, February 24th, they are best of three series, so the third game is based on the results of the first two days. The Cascades women’s basketball team won the 2013 Pacific Division regular season championship with a school record 18-4 mark. They will play their first post season game on Thursday (February 21st) whilemen’s basketball team start on Friday, February 22nd at Saskatchewan against the 2013 Prairie Division regular season Champion Huskies.

The games will be broadcast live via Canada West.TV Conference web site atwww.canadawest.org or at www.ufvcascades.ca
