Jenna Evans and Adam Chaplin are the UFV Cascades/Abbotsford Heat Athletes of the Week

Evans, a third year left side from Abbotsford, BC led the UFV Cascades to victories over CBC, 3-1 and 3-2, to finish the 2011-12 PACWEST regular season with the school’s best conference record at 20-4, for a winning percentage of 84%.   Jenna led UFV both nights with kills totaling 30 on the weekend. She was also a key contributor on defense as she totaled the most digs on the weekend with 26. “Jenna was our key contributor this past weekend,” said UFV head coach Dennis Bokenfohr. 
 
Chaplin, a first year Mission resident put together his best performance of the year in the two losses, 3-2, to CBC this past weekend.  The Cascades have qualified for the post season with a 7-17 record, good for sixth place and rematch with third place XCBC in the PACWEAST quarterfinals at Douglas College.  Chaplin led the Cascades offense with 14 points on Thursday night and 18 points on Friday, while adding 13 digs.
