Bruce was named Abbotsford Heat/UFV Cascades and PACWEST Athlete of the Week, for the week of October 31st. Bruce currently ranks fifth overall in total offense in the PACWEST with 3.92 average and second overall in aces with 51 for a 0.84 average.
“Kayla continually excels at all aspects of her game. This is confirmed by always being among the leaders in total offensive production. Kayla continues to impress the league with her tough spin serve. Since the beginning of the year she has been climbing the leader board with her blocking stats and currently sits number three but has the most blocks to date in the country. Her most impressive feat is her complete game,” said UFV Head Coach Dennis Bokenfohr.
