Scores: 25-22, 25-17, 23-25 and 26-24

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades defeated the Capilano University Blues, 3-1, to improve their PACWest conference record to 8-1 and remain tied with VIU for first place.

“Capilano came into the game ranked #2 in the CCAA and we knew we had to be at our best to beat our best to take them down. Through the first two sets we controlled the play and the girls were executing the game plan as well as can be expected. Capilano provided a good push in the 3rd and 4th sets, and it took a well fought effort to finish off the game,” said UFV Head Coach Dennis Bokenfohr.

Strong performances from Jenna Evans, Abbotsford, BC with 12 kills, 22 dgs and a 28% hitting average and Kayla Bruce, Surrey, BC with 10 kills, 47% hitting, 3 blocks, 3 aces.
