UFV Cascades W’s Soccer Chelsea Steffen & M’s Golf Aaron Pauls Abbotsford Heat/UFV Cascades Athletes of the Week

Pauls, a third year Kinesiology major from Chilliwack, BC shot an impressive 140 over the two day PACWest regular season opening tournament in Kamloops, BC to propel the Cascades men’s golf team into first place six strokes ahead of second place Camosun College.

Aaron sits second overall in the PACWest individual standings one stroke behind the leader.

Steffen, a third year midfielder from Abbotsford, BC was the Cascades Player of the Match, on Saturday, against the University of Saskatchewan as she controlled the midfield for UFV and battled hard the entire match. Steffen’s efforts in Saskatchewan’s defensive box led to the Cascades penalty shot and lone goal in the 2-1 loss to the Huskies. The Fashion Design major played all 180 minutes in this weekend’s matches against Saskatchewan and Alberta.
