Cascades win first PACWest Tournament of 2011 regular season.


The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s golf team won the first 2011 PACWest regular season tournament by six strokes over Camosun College with a two day team score of 574.

The Cascades were led by veteran Aaron Pauls, Chilliwack, BC with a two day score of 140, good for second overall on the weekend. Other Cascades in the PACWest top ten were Mitch Lock, Mission, BC with a third place score of 144 and Darren Whitehouse, Langley, BC placing sixth with a score of 145. There were 47 golfers on 8 teams participating in this weekend’s first tournament at the Dunes, in Kamloops, BC, hosted by Thompson Rivers University.

The Cascades travel to Okanagan,BC to participate in PACWest tournament number two, this weekend, hosted by UBC-O.
