UFV Cascades Women’s Soccer team visits “The Hill”

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s soccer team started their seven day four game exhibition road trip with a visit to Parliment Hill, in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Cascades toured the historiic Parliment Hill, Rideau Centre and the Byward Market. The team’s attention turns to soccer tomorrow as they face the University of Ottawa Gee Gees, at 1:00PM EST. UFV will also play Carleton University’s Ravens on Sunday before traveling to Montreal for the final two games of the road trip.

“Its been a great day, we’ve trained on University of Ottawa’s beautiful, brand new turf field. The girls looked sharp and are excited to play. The team spent the afternoon sightseeing, checking out many of the historic sites in our nations capital, highlighted by our team picture on Parliament Hill. Today was a fantastic cultural experience,” said Rob Giesbrecht, Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer team.
