“It was a great experience for our girls tonight. We really had no idea what we were in for. This was a team of ex-national team players that clearly had some experience, but our speed and conditioning were problematic for them. The experience was way more important than the result. It was fun to play outdoors in front of several young Antiguan girls and their coaches – hopefully we were able to capture their imagination a little bit,” said UFV Head Coach Al Tuchscherer.
“Tomorrow we get to do our second high school clinic and it’s our hope that we can do our part – small or not – to inspire some of these girls to play the game and reap all the positive life lessons it has to offer.”
