UFV Cascades advance to BCCAA Semi-Finals, defeat Camosun, 3-0

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women’s volleyball team defeated the Camosun College Chargers, 3-0, to advance to the 2011 BCCAA women’s volleyball semi-finals.  The tournament is being played at UBC-O, in Kelowna.   The Cascades improve their reciord to 9-6 in regular and post season play.

 

The Cascades led from start to finish sweeping their Victoria opponents.  During the regular season they won both league matches.  UFV will now take on the Number One ranked UBC-O Heat, on Friday, February 25, at 6:00PM.

“Our team came out tonight and were well prepared to do what they had to. They executed the game plan as well as we could expect. This was a complete team effort with each individual stepping up to perform their roles. Jenna Evans was named player of the game. She finished with 15 digs, 6 kills, 2 aces,” said UFV Head COach Dennis Bokenfohr.
