The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s golf team won the Kwantlen Golf Tournament, this past weekend, to “tee off” the 2010 BCCAA golf season with a win and hold onto their Number One ranking in the BCCAA.
Led by veterans Ian Mulder, a first year General Studies major, from Abbotsford, BC with a two-day total of 110 in the individual categoey and Brett Webster, a fourth year Business major, from Abbotsford, BC with a two day total of 110, in the team category.
The Cascades placed 4 golfers in the top ten, as Mike Broadfoot, a fourth year General Studies Abbotsford native is ranked third with a score of 111 and Mitch Lock, a fourth year General Studies major from Mission, BC is 7th with a two-day score of 112.
“It was great to start the season off with a hard fought win in some pretty difficult weather conditions, but I don’t think we saw the best of this team this past weekend, ” said Bertram.
