Cascades women’s volleyball winning streak ends at seven games

ABBOTSFORD, BC — The end was inevitable. The University of the Fraser Valley women’s volleyball team had its long winning streak snapped Friday evening in North Vancouver.

The Capilano College Blues beat the Cascades in straight-sets in British Columbia Colleges’ Athletic Conference (BCCAA) action, putting an end to the Cascades seven-game winning streak.

The Cascades fell to 8-3 with the loss, while Capilano, second in the standings, improved to 11-2.

The Blues dominated all three games by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

The Cascades and Blues will meet again Saturday at Capilano College, and UFV will host Selkirk Feb. 5-6.
